Given the massive resource use of the technology, ensuring the AI juice is worth the massive Resource squeeze is the work of our generation. For if we use these models just to create personalized commercials, we will have squandered the single most important innovation in human history.

The panel - a combination of Foundation, AI Safety Scientist, Impact Messaging, and Artificial Intelligence experts - will explore the concepts of Existential Return on Investment (eROI), review some of the most promising problem areas emerging addressable by AI, and discuss the construction of flywheels for social good that are safe, democratic, and equitable. To conclude the discussion, the panel will review the governance and safety aspects required to ensure the responsible development of these engines.

PANELISTS

Seth Piezas is a Senior Product Manager for AI Data Products for AV at NVIDIA, developing next-gen autonomous machines. His journey began at Pixar Animation Studios and continued through project development with Adult Swim, Airbnb, LucasFilm (pioneering mobile VR), and Exo Imaging (medical imaging). With deep expertise in visual storytelling, robotics, and agentic systems, Seth focuses on AI based product development and go-to-market strategies. His experience includes building solutions for safe AI in regulated V&V environments. Seth recently founded the Colabi Foundation to advance human-AI collaboration and unlock AI's potential for Superintelligent Good.

Raffi Krikorian is a technology leader who uses tech for positive societal impact.  He is the current CTO of Emerson Collective (Philanthropic Foundation), former CTO of the Democratic National Committee, former Director of Uber's Advanced Technologies Center, and former VP of Engineering at Twitter - leading the platform's evolution from frequent outages to reliably handling record World Cup traffic, achieving near-perfect uptime. He now explores the nuances of technology and its role in our world on his podcast, "Technically Optimistic."

Diogo Schwerz de Lucena is the Chief Scientist for AE Studio where he works on human alignment for frontier intelligence as well as brain-computer interfaces.  Diogo holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from UC Irvine, where he applied neuroscience and data science to create innovative rehabilitation methods for neurologic injuries.  As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, he led the development of a home rehabilitation system to enable highly impaired individuals to rehabilitate in the comfort of their homes.

Sarah Moses is the Founder & CEO of Together Films, an international film marketing and sales company with offices in London and NYC. She has led marketing for top festivals including Sheffield DocFest, DOC NYC, and the Human Rights Watch Film Festival. Passionate about boosting social impact for important films, she is an expert in impact messaging and has worked on acclaimed titles such as For Sama, Unrest, and The Tale.
